Claims Processing/Resolutions Changes
Effective IMMEDIATELY
If you have Group Health Insurance through the SRCBOCC or SRCSO please make a note of the following new procedures Florida Blue has initiated.
If you are notified a claim has been denied, pended, or not paid for any reason you will be responsible for contacting Florida Blue to try and rectify any mistakes made during the claims adjudication process. You can reach Florida Blue Customer Service Representative (CSR) at the toll free number on your Florida Blue ID Card.
When you speak with the CSR at Florida Blue be sure and make a note of the Reference Number they assign to each claim inquiry. Save this information.
If you need more assistance with this claim contact Steve Manning at JO Services Insurance and he will attempt to help you resolve any problems you may still be having.
When you contact Steve at 850-261-9343 please be prepared to give him the Reference Number you received from Florida Blue.
Please prepare a written statement which describes the details of the situation and problems associated with the claim(s) and pass it on to Steve.
You will also need to submit a HIPAA PHI Release form which authorizes Steve to investigate the problems you are having.
